Terms and Conditions for College Graduation Photography Sessions

These terms and conditions govern the provision of college graduation photography services by Alex Harrison Photography (the “Service Provider”) to the client (“Client”). By booking and using our services, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

To secure a college graduation photography session with the Service Provider, the Client must pay a non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total cost at the time of booking.

  • Payment can be made via:

    • Venmo: @Alex-Harrison-28

    • Zelle: 630-853-5067

The remaining balance is due on the date of the session. If payment is not received in full by the deadline, the Service Provider reserves the right to cancel the booking. If a down payment is not received within 72 hours of the booking request by Service Provider, the Client's tentative booking request will be canceled and future booking requests will have to be resubmitted.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • No-Fee Window: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the session will not incur additional fees. The 50% retainer is non-refundable.

  • Partial Fee Window: Cancellations made between 48 hours and 1 hour before the session will result in a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total session cost.

  • Full Fee Window: Cancellations made less than 1 hour before the session or no-shows will be charged 100% of the total session cost.

  • Refunds for cancellations eligible for one will be issued within 7 days of the session.

3. Weather-Related Cancellations or Delays

If the session is canceled or delayed due to weather, the Client may reschedule at no additional cost or request a full refund of any payments made. Rescheduled sessions must take place within 30 days of the originally scheduled date.

4. Session Time and Location

• The Client must arrive at the scheduled session location on time. Delays caused by the Client may result in reduced session time.

• If the Client arrives more than 20 minutes late, the session may be canceled at the discretion of the Service Provider. In such cases, the cancellation policy will apply.

• The Service Provider cannot guarantee additional time for late arrivals, which may result in fewer photos being delivered than originally anticipated. This will be communicated to the Client during or after the session via text, email, or phone call.

5. Delivery of Photographs

• The Service Provider will deliver final edited digital photographs via an online gallery within two days after the session.

• The Client will have access to the online gallery for two weeks from the delivery date to download their photos. After this period, access to the gallery will be removed unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Extensions to gallery access can be requested and may be granted at the discretion of the Service Provider.

6. Use of Photographs

• The Service Provider retains copyright and all intellectual property rights to the photographs taken during the session.

• The Client is granted a limited license to use the photographs for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Photographs may not be sold or licensed to any third party without prior written consent.

• The Service Provider reserves the right to use photographs from the session for promotional purposes, including but not limited to website galleries, social media, and marketing materials, indefinitely.

7. Liability

The Service Provider will take reasonable care during the session but is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury caused by negligence on the Client’s part or unforeseen circumstances. The Service Provider is also not liable for delays caused by the Client’s actions that impact session timing or outcomes.

8. Indemnity

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the Client’s use of the photographs.

9. Force Majeure

The Service Provider is not liable for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, illness, pandemics, government restrictions, or emergencies. In such cases, the Client may reschedule the session (within 30 days) or receive a full refund of payments made.

10. Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions constitute the full agreement between the Service Provider and the Client. Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
